Wearing Your Veil More Than Once
No, I am not suggesting you start wearing a veil in regular social settings, while I wish that was a 'thing' more than anyone, it just isn't. But, there are a few times during your bridal life that you absolutely can, and should, rock that veil!
1:1 Photo Session
The 1:1 bridal session is a newer concept in the industry but I personally think it is b-r-i-l-l-i-a-n-t! During a 1:1, the bride wears her full wedding attire - dress, make-up, hair, flowers, VEIL, etc - and her photographer captures stunning photos of just her during this special time in her life. This actually originated as a Southern tradition and photos from the 1:1 were displayed at the reception. Today, it is an excellent opportunity to get to see how all of the parts of your day work together and on camera. It is also a great chance to get to know your vendors so there are no questions on your big day.
Wearing a veil for your 1:1 styled session is a wonderful way to get another use out of your veil. It is also an opportunity to play with where you want to veil to sit in your hair, see how the veil photographs, and play with other ideas for how to capture it on the big day. After all, this is the first time you've worn a veil and practice makes perfect.
I am not sure there is anything more gorgeous in a bridal boudoir than a bride hidden in her veil. It is the ONLY time in your life you get to do that - and talk about sexy! It is a great change to wear that veil again and a fun way to use it in a totally different way.
Depending on the nature of your Bachelorette Party, this can be a fun time to wear your veil. Pair it with a sparkly dress, heels and a great group of girls and you're ready for a fun evening. I've seen girls planning a nice dinner out, a play or even a spa day use their veil. This tends to work better with shorter veils. Sometimes, it can be a great pic to get you and all your girls under the veil for a quick pic before heading out on the town.
But if your plan is to get a little...rowdy...maybe leave the wedding day veil at home and opt for a simple tulle veil, wwww.annieekstrombridal.com/veils.
